RAPID DIAGNOSTIC TESTING (RDT) TECHNOLOGY
En janvier 2024, l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) et le Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) aa signé un accord de licence avec SD Biosensor, fabricant mondial de dispositifs de diagnostic in vitro.
Les détenteurs de cette licence pourront bénéficier du savoir-faire et des matériaux pour fabriquer les tests de diagnostic rapide mis au point par SD Biosensor. Les négociations de cet accord de licence transparent et non exclusif ont été menées sous les auspices du Groupement d’accès aux technologies contre la COVID-19 (C-TAP) de l’OMS. Pour ce dernier, la signature de cet accord, qui va rendre possible la fabrication de dispositifs de diagnostic pour la COVID-19, mais aussi pour d’autres maladies comme le VIH, le paludisme et la syphilis, marque une étape importante de son action.
MPP invite les fabricants intéressés qui sont implantés n’importe où dans le monde à manifester leur intérêt pour acquérir une sous-licence et compléter le formulaire de candidature en ligne.

SDB to provide rights to SDB Patents, Material and Know-How that are useful or otherwise relevant for manufacturing of RDT including without limitation for COVID-19 and other RDTs in the Field. |

Worldwide, except the countries where SDB production plants are located: Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, and Panama. |
| Scope of the grant |
Non-exclusive right under the Licensed Technology for MPP to grant sublicences to develop, make and sell the Products, commercialise, and sell the Product for use in the Territory and in the Field. |
| Royalties | Royalty rates apply on the net sales of the Products where there is a patent right granted and in force in the country of manufacture or sale as follows:

Continuing until, (i) for the countries where exist a Patent Right, the date the last patent right has lapsed, expired, or been invalidated or (ii) for the countries without Patent Rights, which is valid and in force, for a term of ten (10) years. |
