On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Medicines Patent Pool interviewed Swetha Kemireddy, Assistant General Manager, and Nandita Tanneru, Manager Analytical R&D, both from Biological E (also know as BioE), an Indian biotechnology and biopharmaceutical company based in Hyderabad, India. BioE is one of the 15 programme partners of the mRNA technology transfer programme. Supported by WHO, MPP and partners, the mRNA programme is designed to encourage the sustainable development of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics against COVID-19 and other diseases that threaten low- and middle-income countries.
